Sort of Another Progress Pic... ???

Hey. I just thought I'd link you to my newest pics. You can't really "see" the progress per se, but still, y'know, you get to see me in my natural environment.
The pic is freakin' huge, so beware 56k'ers. Heck, while you're there, go on and download that old, crappy performance of Bartok's 4th Romanian Folk Dance. :p

Very nice! You should take a back shot too, as we can't really tell just how long it is.

Your hair looks very neat and well groomed and BTW it only takes maybe 40 seconds to download your photo at 56K. Be sure to wear a light colored shirt for that back shot since you have dark hair. Absalom

I enjoyed both the pic and the Bartok. How about some Bach? Or maybe a little Brahms?
Looking forward to your next post,
JB

Here are the pieces upon which I am working:
Nobuo Uematsu: "Sadness (Reborn)" from Final Fantasy V
Nobuo Uematsu: "Aeris' Theme (Reborn)" from Final Fantasy VII
Alexander Scriabin: Prelude in C# Minor, Op. 11, No. 10
Ludwig van Beethoven: "Moonlight" Sonata (Adagio)
Johann Sebastian Bach: Prelude in G Minor from Well-Tempered Klavier, Book I
I plan to record these pieces as soon as I master them. :p
Brahms is too darn difficult!

I have no idea who Nobuo Uematsu is. Looking forward to hearing some.
The moonlight is a real crowd pleaser - and any of the Well Tempered Clavier is a key board players best friend. Great for technic - forget the F***king Handel! Scriabin is also fun. Have you tried any of the Etudes? The polyrhythms are a challenge, but great fun.
Don't fear the Brahms. I remember the first time my teacher threw me into some (this was years and years ago) I thought I was going to drown, I was so overwhelmed. It was one of the Opus 79 Rhapsodies. I thought he was nuts, and I was sure I was going to fail. It took some doing, but it eventually came together. I went on to do both the Op 79 rhapsodies. Really some of the most fullfilling music I ever studied. I would always discover something new in the works, so they survived the hard practice that was required to master them.
Bartok is no picnic, and you played that well (albeit, a brief sample) - so don't fear the Brahms.
Now Prokofiev - that's something to fear! Be afraid - be very afraid.
:-)

Nobuo Uematsu composed the music for most of the games in the Final Fantasy series. His music is very tasteful, for video game music. It's not just simple, beepy, techno junk... trust me. Bach is like a big, beautiful dexterity exercise. I'm about to order all of Scriabin's etudes and preludes in book form. :-D
Oh, just yesterday I received some "CD Sheet Music." This is sheet music in Adobe .pdf file form archived on a CD-Rom disc. I now have the complete keyboard selections of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Scarlatti, Haydn, Mendelssohn, and Grieg... and I mean ALL of them. This is, like, 6,000+ pages of sheet music. If you want some, send me an instant message over AIM (veryangrystorks) or MSN (veryangrystorks@hotmail.com). Also, if you'd like to talk about technic or just music, then, heck, I'm always around.

What do you think about this:

Not exactly a classic - but real longhair electronics, composed by Yadgar ;-))!
Please excuse the poor recording quality, the original MIDI file
for my synth is lost long ago, I had to digitize it from an old audio cassette...
See you in Khyberspace - http://home.arcor.de/yadgar/khyberspace/index-e.html
