damaged hair help
Posted by jakerdoodle on March 14, 2004 at 22:30:52: Previous Next
So I've been growing my hair out for over a year now, and it's looking pretty good. My only issue is the hair around my ears. My hair looks quite damaged around this area. It's all curly and dry and whatnot. I was just wondering if:
-Others are having this issue
-Will the problem go away as it grows and conditioner is used (Right now, I'm using conditioner and I occasionally use Aussie's 3-minute miracle)
-If not, what can be done?
Thanks for your help.

i heard that conditioning your hair with beer would make it sleek and smooth... just wash your hair normally and rinse with beer, then leave it in for 10 minutes for the beer to penetrate, then rinse it off..

Yes but who wants to smell like a brewery or an all night binge?

I don't find it necessary when doing a beer rinse to condition. I do it like this:
Rinse hair with warm water
Shampoo
Rinse shampoo with warm water
Rinse hair with cool/cold water
Apply beer, and comb through hair
Let sit for about 2 minutes
Rinse with cold water
*Blowdrying helps with shine and body, if your hair is straight
You Won't Smell

The beer smell goes away within about 30 minutes of getting out of the shower. Trust me. I wash with beer at least once every other week.
