I'm a female, but I wash my hair every day with dilluted shampoo, then I condition. Lately I've been using head and shoulders two-in-one for shampoo, because it smells nicer than my regualar pantine pro-v, and the two-in-one is good for the dry winter monthes, my conditioner is pantene though

I thought Pantene and Head and Shoulders are two of the worst shampoo's on the market? is that true,I always thought pantene dries your hair out?

They both sure trashed my hair, but if you have hair of iron they probably are fine.

I use H&S shampoo once a week for the past two years (not the 2-in-1)
and have been using Pantene Smooth and Sleek conditioner (not the
shampoo) every day for the past week. My rule of thumb is any shampoo or conditioner mentioned on this board in which the
reviewer claims "it dried out my hair" has always been pretty
good for my hair :-).

No I've been using it for years, when diluted a little it's great

H&S and Pantene are not great, they are like using bathroom cleaning products on your hair. I've voiced this conspiracy theory before, but the seem to formulated to strip your hair completely of all their natural oils, which means that within 48 hours your hair can look and feel very dry and unmanageable... this means you'll be more likely to wash again, using more and more of the product. (What a great manipulation of the marketplace!)
Notably most people who praise H&S and Pantene, use it every day... well yeah - you have to, cos if you dont your hair feels awful! Fact is if you changed your shampoo, you might not need to wash & condition as often!
Anyway, enuf of my consipiracy theory. To answer the posters question I was every 2 days with Herbal Essences and I use one of the same range conditioners.
I would go longer than 2 days but I live in a hot climate and it gets a little warm under my mop. Plus I'm always greasing up my hair cos I have a subconsious habit of running my fingers through it.

Pantene pro-v is better than head-and-shoulders in my case although it doesn't smell as good. By the way they are both very good shampoos, but they aren't advertised as much.

Really depends on what works best for you - you'll find some who
shampoo & condition everyday (like me) and others once a week.
Some use conditioner only (no shampoo).
You'll have to experiment to see what works best for your hair.

It really depends on your grooming preferences and how oily your hair is. The more oily your hair is, the more oftern you might want to wash it.
