Hairspray

I was wondering whether any of you use hairspray to add a little volume to your hair? I'm not talking 80s style guitar players but something just to give it a little 'oomph'. My hair is centre-parted and has no volume but I'd like to be just a little bigger if possible.
Cheers.
The guy is Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains). I love his music AND his hair!

I've read similar questions to this before with poor or zero replies. I dont think there are a lot of hairspray fans here. I, for one use no holding product all.
I have tried it [hairspray] back in the awkward stage, but like gel it tends to turn my hair into a crash helmet. Maybe I was using it wrong.
All i can say is experiment.
:)

I was scared someone would say that! I've done experiments with my hair before and the results aren't always pretty!
Thanks!

To gain volume occasionally. Dry hair with the lowest heat setting blow dryer while bent over with your hair hanging. Dry the roots first at the back. This will give you volume. Not recommended for everyday styling. Your hair will eventually dry out and become stringy like Jerry's. I think his is stringy do to head banging however! =)
