how do you get dreadlocks?? i have heard that you just dont comb/wash it. Is this true? BTW im no where near this lenght im Just wondering

Actually I asked a dreaded person before about this. He says go for about three weeks without washing your hair and when it gets to about that time you light up a candle and you take clumps of your hair and twist them and drip the wax in there and just knot the clump all up. That's why some dredlocks are skinny and others are thick.

If your hair's curly, just stop combing it...my hair's starting to dread on it's own even with regular shampooin/finger combing. Got about 12 dreads now and more forming...

I had one dreadlock for a while (named him Hubert). I have a couple of friends that are dreadheads (actually helped one of them put his dreadlocks in) and the way they did it was according to www.dreadheadhq.com
The method is called backcombing and worked well for my one dread. I may still do dreads one day. . . .but that will be several years from now. . . .
