Bee Butt Bun Pictures

Tired of choosing between ponytail or loose? In this sneak peek at some of my April Bonus pictures I'm wearing a "Bee Butt Bun". This is the simplest bun you can make. Mine is a bit fuzzy because my hair is all different lengths. I *could* fix this with a lot of gel but I'm a male, I don't need finesse. If all your hair reaches your ponytail this style is *very* secure. Seriously. I don't think anyone is going to mistake me for a girl with this style. What do you think?

Looks good on you. My neighbor wears one, but I have never tried it.
Maybe you could put up instructions!
Bee Butt Bun Instructions

To get a bun with those stripes similar to that of a bee's body I'd say, "make a regular bun except wind each new coil tight against the head instead of outward," but the basic bun is not in everyones' repertoire here. I found a site with photos and captions linked below that would be more helpful than instructions I could craft.
And as long as I am writing in this thread, thank you for sharing your bun Gollan. Short of wearing a hair net over it, there is no way to get rid of those sticking out bits. People who know that is a part of having long hair won't fault you for it. With a trim they would just all stick out at the same length anyway. It looks handsome at it is and reminds me of the quite masculine buns worn by some Pueblo Indian men.

Mistake you for a girl? With the beard? Unlikely...
Plus that hair style is been worn increasingly often as a formal look for many guys with long hair. I think its a thumbs up!
