A trick for us big hair people.

Now I'm not a hairstylist, and I encourage people to think about my advice before acting on it when it comes to hair or anything else for that matter, but here is something I've discovered that works for me. Instead of slathering on thick, sticky layers of gel or hairspray, I've found that applying a little Infusium 23 to the hair that gets the most wild as I would a gel or something works really well. I put it in after I've towel dried my hair (so my hair is still slightly damp but not dripping wet). It doesn't get dry or sticky, but it has enough punch to help out with frizzy hair. I like doing it this way instead of just conditionering my entire head and leaving it in. Anyway...that's my good word.

How does this stuff compare with Loreal Vive Serum? Anyone?
Infusium 23 vs L'Oreal Vive Serum

I happen to use both products and they are both great for different purposes. The L'Oreal Vive Serum leaves my hair much slicker and dryer than the Infusium 23. The Infusium 23 is a very light conditioner but it does have *some* oil that helps with styling. The Vive Serum doesn't help me with styling but it adds an incredible shine and silky smoothness to my hair. To me the Vive Serum is perfect when I wear my hair down but leaves it a bit too slippery to tie back. That is when I turn to the Infusium 23 (or heavier conditioner, depending on how my hair is doing). Finally, I don't like the smell of either product (in my opinion Vive has a heavy perfume and Infusium 23 smells like old rubber) but the results I get from these products make them worth using, smell and all!

In the beginning I thought the same thing about ViVE products.
That strong scent can also be interpreted as a strong FRESH scent.
Yes, even the next day, anyone standing next to you would think
you had just washed your hair!

BAH! This is frustrating! I never got as good results from Vive shampoo and conditioner as most of you did... I wish it would work better for me! Maybe I just had a bad day when I tried it... which is why I'm tempted to try it again!
But anyway, Im glad it works well for others!

That's just it: you have to find what's 'right' for your hair type.
ViVE Smooth Intense Shampoo and Conditioner is still NOT enough for me.
I must also use a bit of MELTing Gel and especially
my favorite: Liquid SPRAY Gel.
This adds lots of shine and makes your hair behave.

Haha, when I read that, I thought of Austin Powers: "Oh behave! Yeah! YEAH BABY! Yeah!!!"

I got some Infusium 23 leave in conditioner based on the recommendations here. But I can't figure out how much to use. The bottle doesn't say how much to use. Any advice?
Thanks,
Les

....for thin, frizzies!!
For quick grooming during the day, spray a little of your favorite leave-in conditioner on a slightly damp, wide bristled brush and lightly brush your "wild ones" in place. Stays in place without stiffness or glued-down look.

Cool. I get good results with coconut oil [used in the same way except that I put it in when dry].
