I am seeking employment in the Toronto and surrounding area. I am a Canadian citizen working abroad on contract work for a large recruiting office within the U.S. Naval Base situated in Southern Europe. I have been in Human Resources for five years, and the past year I've been working in a different Branch of the Personnel Recruiting field (total, six years' experience). I am perfectly bilingual (Italian/English), my duties range from developing vacancy announcements to processing Life/Retirement/Medical claims, to doing payroll to (just recently) doing job classification (I am a certified U.S. Government job classifier). My job also entails diplomatic and professional contacts with other U.S. Government Bureaus and Embassies in the country I'm presently working in. I am planning on returning and I'd like to start my job search prior to my arrival to get a head start and possibly land a job so that my transition will be a smoother one (meaning that I wouldn't have to be unemployed for long).
