I'm currently searching for professional with the skill set below. This full-time opportunity is slated at 12+ months here in Austin, TX.
This position will report to the LAN Technical Services Manager within TDHS's MIS Enterprise Services division and will be responsible for TIER III support of the Infrastructure Migration project from Novell 3.2 to Netware 5.1,ongoing tier 2/3 troubleshooting and technical support of all TDHS LANs and the LANs of our other TDHS customers, as well as high level technical support for other technical support staff. Approximately 75%85% of this support will be handson/on site support and 15% to 25% will be telephone/desk support.
Requirements
I ) Contractor must have 3 years experience troubleshooting in a TDHS environment.
2) Contractor must have extensive knowledge of, and experience working with TDHSs
core technologies, including but not limited to, AREV; TDIHS' infrastructure; Novell
netware 3.x; 5x; Windows Operating Systems (3.1, 3.11, '95, '98); NT, and Protocol
Analysis (Lanalyzer, etc.)
3) Contractor must have extensive experience working with all levels of staff as a
support professional.
4) Contractor must have skill in written and oral communications.
5) Contractor must have three years of fulltime experience in systems analysis OR a
bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 12 semester hours in
computer science, plus two years of fulltime experience in systems analysis.
Services
1 ) Provides development, implementation, and deployment services for the
Infrastructure Migration Project (Netware 5.1 deployment)
2) Provides ongoing tier 2/3 troubleshooting and technical support of all TDHS LANs
and the LANs of our other TDHS customers, with primary focus on AREV, TDHSs
infrastructure, Windows 3.1, 95, 98, and 2000, Novell Netware, and NT.
3) Provides high level technical support to other technical support staff.
4) Updates and maintains clear and concise documentation of troubleshooting steps
and resolutions in TDHSs Service Center problem management system.
