Seeking a Help Desk Programmer for NW suburb of Chicago.
Receives and manages Help Desk hardware and software requests from users. Documents requests and diagnoses problem, performs research and responds to requests by referring to appropriate resource, training users, doing minor programming and reporting system and communication line trouble calls to outside telco providers. Assists in responsibility with daily tape backup, EDI, hardware and software installations and a variety of special projects. The candidate requires the following: * Good interpersonal phone skills and effective problem solving skills * Good organizational and documentation skills * Ability to utilize network and internet technologies to train and assist users * 2 years of previous Help Desk experience * 1 - 10 years of Pick Programming experience * Some EDI system experience * College Degree * Minimum travel required
