I have over 25 years of IT industry experience. The first 14 and last 2 were spent in PICK OS / RDBMS environments working mainly with ERP systems. In that area, I've worked in almost every possible role from PC Support, Programmer / Analyst, DBA, Computer and Site Security, Project Manager, Product Support Manager, Product Installer Conversions from legacy PICK to UniVerse, ODBC connectivity and Consultant to name a few. I have worked in PICK, Microdata, UniVerse, Revelation, AREV, and Prime Information. During that period, I also ran a small consulting firm, which I am still involved in on a part time basis.
The past 11 years I have worked with systems support which included PC Win 3.1/9x/2K Server/XP support, but primarily Unix System Administration, and Computer/Site/Internet Security. Most of my Unix experience has been with Sun hardware (6 plus years) and Linux, but I have also worked with HP-UX, IBM AIX, DEC/COMPAC TRU64 Unix and other flavors. I am well experienced in the areas of shell scripting, memory management, performance tuning, internet connectivity, TCP/IP networking and security.
I am seeking tele-comuting Contract work or on-site work in the Greater Puget Sound (Seattle or Olympia), WA area.
