Hmmmm... you sound like a familiar fellow Bill. I think I've met you before.
Good to hear from you.
: After a hiatus of some 2 years, back in the AREV programming/training/
: consulting/migration market, in the guise of an IT contractor. I am a veteran of 8 1/2 years at Cogent Information Systems, vendor of IDEAS. While there, I served as trainer and course developer; I trained a lot of Ceridian and Rev Technologies people, and authored probably 15 courses while there. I gave talks at 4 AREV-related conferences, and have had articles in two AREV-related magazines. I also did some custom programming, both enhancements and new design, especially for HR apps, but also some for Rockefeller Financial Services, Westinghouse, IBM and the US Secret Service, among others.
: Lately, I have been engaged in Client/Server products, such as Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server, PowerBuilder, and SQL Anywhere.
: I still believe that AREV is one of the most subtle and interesting development environments I have had the pleasure to use.
