This shot was put in to illustrate how the fire department worked. The fire is to the left (look at the lighting on the car). The building in the distance is a stable that was unaffected by the fire. The red car in front of that is my rental car. We were all parked in front of the barn when the fire broke out and figured we had better move the cars. I drove back to that stable and then nosed in over the horseshoe pit. The fire trucks used that horseshoe pit to turn around, taking turns to bring in water. They then backed in to the left. The vehicle facing left if the chief's vehicle and was not actively used in fighting the fire. I guess it was mainly a personnel carrier and portable office.
