an unusual part?

Hello everyone. My hair is very thick and wavy. My hair is shoulder length and one length. I have a natural part that goes down the middle of my head. I'm concerned however, that this part continues on the back of my head. I think the weight of my hair is making the part show when you look at the back of my head, I don't like it, so I constantly try to cover the part with the long top layers of my hair. Sorry I don't have a camera to show you what I'm talking about. Do any of you have a similar problem? A part that extends to the top, back part of the head? I never noticed it when I had short hair.
I guess it is an unusual part

If mine was thick and parted naturally like that, I'd just part it "from nose to nape" and wear pigtails or Native American style braids.
