hi everyone.I have a problem concerning long hair.I wish to make it into a ponytail.How shoulD I do it? are there many styles in ponytailing your hair? for the band to secure it what should I use?

The best type of band depends on the length and thickness of your hair. Avoid tight, thin elastics unless your ponytail is still just a short one since the thin elastics can definitely damage the hair. Use the largest band that will not slide down when looped over once.

Hi Richard! Pete is totally right: don't ever use rubber bands in your hair, it'll damage it. I use ribbons because they can't get tangled. Forget silly bows, I rarely tied my hair but when I do (major wind attacks!) I do it not too close to the head (pulling on your hair isn't a good idea either), and the ribbon crosses on the hair all the way down where I tie it, much in the same way the greeks wore their shoes with the string going up the leg. I found that this way keeps single hairs from coming out.
