how do I do my hair into a ponytail? does it need to be very long or just short enough? Since in my school ponytails are prohibited,I just do it at home.I'm from the philippines.I'm 16 years old.at my age,is it suitable for me to ponytail my hair?
2.when I ponytail my hair, there are some strands of hair on my forehead left because some of them are too short to be ponytailed. What should I do? Is it attractive when I ponytail my hair?
Thanks.
Richard

Well, the length of the hair has some effects on the way you hold it, but the basic priciple is:
1) slide the band onto the hair to where you want to tie it
2) have hand A hold the hair and band, and have hand B extend the band to one side, and then rotate it to make a figure 8 with the hair still going through the one loop of the figure 8.
3)use hand A to stuff the hair through the open loop of the figure 8 that you have just made.

Just wait until they grow long enough, and use enough conditioner or gel to keep them in place in the mean time. My front hair never grows long enough to reach the ponytailer (unless I tie it really high on my head), and it normally stays in place fine, but blows around anyway when there is a strong wind. Whether the ponytail is more attractive than loose hair is a matter of opinion. Probably most people who use this board prefer loose hair, but almost everybody has use for ponytails one time or another to placate parents or employers (who generally find ponytails neater than loose hair) or to keep the hair out of the way and less prone to tangles when doing strenuous activity or encountering high winds.
Good luck!
