Mercury is actually what they expected to find in Beethoven's hair, particularly since they thought he had been treated with it for syphillis. But they found lead instead, and at extremely high levels.

My hair tested high for plumbum (lead), but my blood levels were normal!

I imagine I would have high levels of lead in my hair, since I work as an electronics technician, and am constantly exposed to solder.
It's hard to tell, I have long hair in this picture, but there's a ponytail going halfway down my back!
