Long Hair discrimination

I can't believe I found this site. I am doing a presentation in my Industrial Relations nighschool course and the subject is regarding discrimination in the workplace of men with long hair. Does anyone know where I can find additional information on this topic? I would like to use case studies of men dismissed or disciplined for wearing their hair long. Thanks!
Well maybe this one

I CAN'T THINK OF ANY IN PARTICULAR ON THE INTERNET RIGHT NOW, BUT I THINK THAT COULD HAVE HAPPEND TO ME WHEN I APPLIED AT A MCDONALDS ONE TIME, ALTHOUGH THIS WAS 1995 WHEN I DID THIS SO JOBS WERE HARDER TO COME BY BACK THEN, THE FUNNY THING IS I ENDED UP WORKING AT ANOTHER MCDONALDS THAT WOULD TRANSFER ME THERE ALL THE TIME FOR A DAY OR TWO AT A TIME ANYWAY. I AM GETTING PRETTY SICK OF WORKING AT MCDONALDS THOUGH SO I PLAN TO TRY TO GET A JOB AT THE HOME DEPOT, PERHAPS I CAN LET YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS THEN.

I've accumulated some links here that may lead you to what you are seeking: Resources For Longhairs.

For that, to add to what you find in the media, you can of course solicit stories from men who frequent this board.

The most brainwashing pressure against my hair came from my family. Outsite I had fewer problems with long hair. I cut it off several times for job reasons (military, teacher education, industry jobs), never for liking short hair.
12 years ago I entered a research institute for "applied knowledge processing", sponsored by HP, Siemens, IBM and others. Prerequisite to get this job was to cut off my hair (hairlength from the top to the ends was about 50 cm). I worked there 4 and 1/2 year. Half or once a year I had a date with a hairdresser.
The hair growed back with the time and with longer hair I missed myself on all of this photos they made about their employees. At the end (one year before leaving the institute) I got seriously problems with my boss, he argued I would endanger his projects (with bankings). Hair was just 1 inch below my ears. The dispute escalated. I was delegated to the second chairman of the firm. He doesn't argued directly against my hair but there exist problems with the stuff and so on.
I cut it short but this situation causes a break with my boss.
Currently I find myself working for a personal hiring firm. I don't know if long hair is a problem. The firms I worked for (software development area) the last two years don't argued against my hair but currently I am looking for a change.
