New Grooming Standards

My employer recently added/changed some of our dress code standards. Among them:
"-Hair mst be clean and well groomed. Extreme styles and colors are not permitted. Long hair for men is permitted, but must be pulled back and tied neatly. Facial hair must be neat and trimmed; partially grown beards, or stubble, are not acceptable.
-Headwear such as ball caps, hats or bandanas is not permitted.
-Men and women may wear one earring per lobe. All earrings must be conservative and coordinate with work attire."
Looks like I should be okay to continue growing my hair out! yeah!
BTW, I'm a video store manager...

That's great news Ed! Do you mind if I ask what video store you
work for? I know Blockbuster has a history of being long hair
unfriendly, so I'm curious if it's them.

That's interesting. I used to work for Hollywood, and I had to keep my hair tied up at all times. Lots of customers said it looked funny and ask why I didn't just wear it in a ponytail. Eventually it just became too much of a hassle, and combined with awful hours and short notice (I hardly ever knew when I was going to work, even a day in advance) I decided to resign. What's really annoying is that there is one woman working there who to this day doesn't seem to even comb her hair half the time.
