women's opinions of guys with long hair
Posted by Tim on December 12, 2000 at 12:02:31: Previous Next
I've been thinking about growing my hair out, but I'm a little hesitant because of one concern I have: will women's opinions of me change with my hair long? Will long hair make me less attractive to members of the opposite sex? It's been my general observation that the majority of women prefer guys with clean-cut short hair. I really don't want to cut myself short and limit myself to only a certain minority of women that do happen to like guys with long hair. I'm already kind of on the shy side as it is, and it's difficult enough to meet women, but I've been thinking about it alot and would really like to try growing my hair out.

I personally like men with long hair, always have, probably always will. Hair, I feel is a personal thing, you should decide because it's what you want to do. My husband was 25 and bald when I met him 20 yrs. ago, I still fell in love with him, even bald. Women will like you for who you are, not your hair. And if they don't it's there loss, if you want to grow your hair and don't because of what you think women will think, then you are selling yourself short.

Well, here's my experience: a few years ago I was living in a small city in the South. I had hair down to my shoulders for a couple of years, which to say the least was unusual among my set. After a couple of years I decided to cut it short. I had no fewer than 3 women stop me on the street, strangers, and say "I'm so sorry you cut your hair. I just loved it long."

It's easier if you grow whatever hair you like. You'll probably find the women who like you then are the kind of women who'll be the most fun to be with.
I'm strongly in favour of long hair. It feels great on your own back. During sex, you can caress a woman's nipples with your hair whilst kissing her. Long hair also makes a man look taller and stronger, an effect observable by any man, woman or beast. A head of long hair is an enormous and powerful erogenous zone which can be fondled in public with no fear of being arrested.
It's been my general observation that the majority of women prefer guys with clean-cut short hair.
The majority of women also read womens' magazines. Go figure. There's a risk that a woman who wants your hair short may want to dress you up like a schoolboy too.
but I've been thinking about it alot and would really like to try growing my hair out.
I think you'll find experimentation worthwhile. You might want to try various arrangements of facial hair too. I'm fond of goatees myself.
You will get more dates with long hair!

I THINK A LOT OF WOMEN JUST SAY THEY LIKE GUYS WITH SHORT HAIR JUST LIKE THEY SAY THEY LIKE NICE GUYS AND NEVER GO OUT WITH NICE GUYS BUT GO OUT WITH JACKASSES WITH BIG EGO'S INSTEAD (NOT THAT GUYS WITH LONG HAIR ARE JACKASSES WITH BIG EGO'S). I HAVE HAD SHORT HAIR 3 TIMES IN MY LIFE AND LONG HAIR 3 TIMES IN MY LIFE, I HAVE HAD SHORT HAIR LONGER THAN I HAVE HAD LONG HAIR AND I HAVE NEVER ONCE IN MY LIFE GOTTEN A DATE WHILE I HAD SHORT HAIR. I CAN'T SAY THAT I HAVE GOTTEN A LOT OF DATES WITH LONG HAIR BUT I CAN SAY I HAVE GOTTEN FAR MORE ATTENTION FROM GIRLS NOW THAT I HAVE LONG HAIR. SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT WHAT GIRLS WILL THINK OF YOU, IT'S JUST JOBS YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT.

I have hair below my shoulders which is thick and curly and blonde. It attracks girl's attention.Other women tell me to shave it all off.I like my hair and only take notice of the girls who like long hair.I am 30 and have been growing my hair for about 6 years now.One girl wanted my hair to be loose as I always wore it in a ponytail. So definately don't worry about what others think.Do you have a picure of your hair

well, my experience has been that you will definitely get attention from the girls, but it's not the demographic you're used to. When u go from short to long hair, you attract a different kind of girl. Have fun with it.

I agree with Tim and the 2 18-year-old Amazons: do what you want with your own hair and trust that your other needs will also find an outlet.

I'll tell you what I always used to tell my son, "Chicks dig long hair."
p.s. Don't worry about being shy, when women see your beautiful long flowing hair, they will come up to you--if only to tell you how much they like it. (Just keep it in good condition!)

I am an intelligent and some have said beautiful female. I love guys with long hair although I must admit that I am in the minority among my circle of friends... but hey since I'm single that just means no competition...
Seriously although my preference is long hair that is only a beginning. I must be cliche and reiterate that it is what is inside that counts the most. (you know the rest)
