I don't what to dye, help!

Hi to all, and thanks to all who may answer.
I am a guy who is turning forty-four. I am a vegetarian who is very physically fit and still has thick dark brown wavy hair that I tie back. My hair is almost to the middle of my back. However, I noticed that I am starting to get grey hair here and there, especially around my temples. Please, believe me, I am not vain but I just do not like it. When one has dark hair even one grey one will stand out like a flare in the night.
At this point it is not really that noticeable but I am somehow trying to head it off at the pass. I take vitamins and exercise all the time. I just hate the thought of having to start dyeing. My question to all is: Is there a way to keep hair from turning grey? If not, is there a natural way to dye hair that will not hurt it and is not a major ordeal? Please let me know what you know. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

There is no natural way to keep hair from greying. In my experience as a men's (exclusively) hair stylist/image consultant, it seems that it is rather sexy (so females tell me) for a guy's hair to grey as long as his complexion stays young-looking. And there are many natural ways to do that. It is when one's complexion looks old that greying hair adds years to a guy's appearance. The advice I generally give my clients is to let it grey and, especially those who have hair your length, treat it as a natural highlight.
The alternative is to dye--and with hair growing at least 1/2 inch a month that means forever retouching the roots every two/three months. Maintenance can be a pain in the butt for a guy not used to spending inordinate amounts of time grooming!

Try LOVING CARE by Clairol. No peroxide or ammonia like permanent haircolor has. No "roots" to touch up on a monthly basis. It's good for hiding a little gray, but not very effective when you get a lot of it.

I hope you get round to appreciating long grey hair. The last 50 year old guy I saw with bum-length dark silvery grey hair really got me warm and excited. He seemed to be flaunting his grey hair rather than hading it, which added to his sex appeal.
