A Mullet is a style that is long in the back and short in the front.
What I've been trying to figure out is why the style is so disparaged.
My two boys (ages 5 and 8) both have mullets with near waist length hair in back...and maybe I'm biased, but I think the style suits them.

It MAY be like the bowlcut. It's cute when they are young, but it's gotta go before they look goofy.

i don't think your children's hair looks goofy at all. . .it looks great! i wish i could have grown hair that long when i was their age. . .good for you!
i'm not quite so sure why the mullet is so hated here either. . .i can understand not being fond of the *extreme* mullets, such as the old billy ray cyrus look, where it was *extremely* short on the top, and *extremely* long in the back. . .but there seems to be some who hate anything other than hair all cut the same length. . .and you know, some guys just can't carry that kind of cut anymore than all women can.
so my advice to you is to ignore what those here might say about a mullet. . .the picture of your children looked great.

Thank you, now I know what a mullet is. I think the pictures are okay, although my personal preference is long flowing hair all around.

For the most part, I have always liked the mullet style. Like any other hairstyle, some are good examples and some are bad. You sons' mullets look great. I hope they decide to continue growing their hair - and keeping the mullet style, if that's what they want. And congrats to you for starting them out early in life to appreciate longer hair.

I don't think the second one from the left on the bottom row is a mullet. He has plenty of top/front length too, with long enough bangs to match the rest of the hair, and I think he looks fine. Some of the other pics look awful, though.

Not to be mean, but don't do this to these poor boys. Mullets are not cool. They were cool (not really) back in 1988-91. People who wear these hairstyles seem to not be aware of the joke that this hairstyle is. Check out www.mulletsgalore.com

I am not judging anyone on this page nor I am being rude but here is my opinion about mullots
I saw that wierd web page on mullots yes there are bad people ith mullots but I cannot judge a person by weather they have a mullot or not becuause what's in the heart is what matters. Some people are saying that people with mullots are bad is just as much as a fantasy as blonds are dumb or if you prefer the flat earth society. I think it is up to the individual how he or she ould like his or her hair. There are some good people with mullots and bad people with mullots. Yes some people with mullots look good and some look bad. but I am not the judge. If a person is good and kind and consiterate,I'll be his or her friend forget what the person looks like.
PS. About that eb site I wish the photographers would call the police to deal ith these weird events. People need help not thier picture taken.
