Can balding be prevented with long hair?

Hello. I've been growing my hair out again for 10 months now-I had it down to my back for a number of years and then cut it for a couple years...now I'm growing it out again. Anyway, balding runs in my family. My dad is pretty bald and always kept his hair short as a kid. My little bro is starting down the same path and always kept his hair short and used all the hair crap u can buy (gel, hairspray, mousse, etc). I'm the eldest son and have a full head of hair but I never really got into using all the hair crap money can buy.
In my family-short hairs that have used hair crap or cut they're hair short FOR YEARS have gone bald. Anyone think that this is a growing trend-maybe just one area of baldness (oil builup) that can be prevented by growing your hair long? Women didn't start going bald (excluding medical reasons) till they recently started cuttin' they're hair short.

Balding has everything to do with genetics/hormones--and absolutely nothing to do with length. Trust me!

There r different types of balding-male pattern baldness, oil buildup baldness, and medication baldness (there's probably other types too). Male pattern baldness cannot be prevented-but oil buildup can. If u have long hair and wash it right so that your natural hair oil keeps your hair moist and healthy, then you won't get oil buildup that dirt in the air mixing with hair care crap causes.
Women have proven this-they have started going bald in mass when they in mass started cuttin' their hair short. They're balding wasn't caused by male pattern baldness.
I'm 28-baldness may finally catch up to me in a couple years due to male pattern baldness...but I think I can put it off by preventing other kinds of baldness.

Look man, if balding runs your family there's nothing to prevent it and have long hair increases the likelyhood.But there is a special treatment that can be applied by hairdressers 2 times a week

long hair puts morestress on the roots causing premature balding get some rogain or something, man
