Hi its my first time of posting here, but i viist alot, I have a few questions for you guys that I hope you can help me with:
Ive been growing my hair for about 8 months now, with one maintenance trim in between, I recently got 2 week a job in an office and i thought id gel it back. After the the job had finished i washed my hair and noticed that a few here and there started falling out. Ever since then they have been falling out everyday (for about a week now), is this normal? Theres not many but its happening everyday. Are there any ways of stopping it coming out? As it is worrying me, and i REALLY dont want to lose my hair, to grow it out is something ive wanted to do for ages and now this has happened.
Please reply with help!!!
Thank You

your subject states 'a few queries' but i only see one operative question... that being of your fallout problem. hairs fall out all the time- that's a normal part of the hair life cycle. if you start noticing your hair thin or hairline recede you have a problem that can be treated. until you observe such a problem i advise you not to worry yourself with what is most likely not a problem. remember- stress can cause hair loss too.

Your hair is always falling out, 50-100 hairs per day. My experience has been (growing hair out for the last 10 months) is that as my hair gets longer I simply become more aware of them because they are longer. The longer hairs wrap around my fingers when I wash my hair, and I have the experience of all these hairs on my hands. Feels like I am loosing tons of hair, when it reality, its the same amound as always. I just never really noticed before when the hairs were short. Also, I find that since I am not washing my hair every day (I wash it every other day)that on the days I do not wash it, I do not experience as many lost hairs. In fact, they may actually be clinging into my hair, so that on the days that I do wash it, two days worth of falling out hair come out on my hands. I think what you are describing is normal. Be sure the gel you use has no alcohol.

Id like to say thank you for your words of wisdom, it was really encouraging and I am very thankful!
Ive decided to battle the "awkward stage" and kick it in the teeth, ive been in it for a couple of months now, so im not backing down until its over, im gonna drop all maintenance cuts and just let it flow. Ive also started growing my facial hair today, and dont intend to shave for at least 4 weeks, and then review the situation.
Once again, thanx guys,
