help me

i've been growing my hair scince febuary. my hair is thick and wavy. i can't really do anything with it and i am constantly made fun o at school.
what should i do!?!?

Remember, first of all that you are becoming a minority (I've heard it said that less than 5% of American males are longhairs). You didn't state your age or grade, so I am assuming middle or high school. You are being made fun of because you are beginning to stand out as "different" than your peers - losing the current trend of looking like a member of a "boy band." Peer pressure can have quite an effect on people during this time. Hold on to what you want - not the pressures of someone else. You'll come out the better for it in the long run.
Also, you are in the infamous "awkward stage" where your hair seems to be under its own control for a while. Every longhair went (or is currently going) through it. This board is an excellent source of support for those in this phase. Create a vision for what you want your hair to look like. Get pictures of a style or styles that you think would look good on you. Eventually, you will probably have to look for a stylist to help you get there. These pictures can give the stylist a better idea of what you want.
