conditioner working in reverse!?

Hey Guys:
Just thought I'd post about some weird experiences I've been having with conditioners over the past few days. I normally use Pantene Smooth and Sleek on my thick/wavy/unruly hair. It's an ok conditioner, the best out there I think for my hair type, aside from "Freeman's Super Straight Hair" which my shoppers drug mart stopped selling! grrrrrr!!! Anyway, even though the label on Pantene says "smooth and sleek" my hair comes out like crap. So my dad recommended trying "thicker fuller hair conditioner" I was like "my hair is thick, if i use that i'll have a afro!" So I tried it and now my hair falls into place in the back, it's like it weighs it down but it makes my hair more curlier but they are nice curls not awkward stage curls, that are like hair sticking out everywhere. I wonder why this conditioner would work better than a so called "smoothing and straightening" conditioner on wavy hair. It has me confused but I'm happy. I hope this made somewhat sense, lol.

just wondering, with me being a thick wavy head too, how long is your hair, because mine is drawing near to the end of the akward stage, wheni try to straighten it its pretty long looking but my hair if i just air dry it is really wavy, which looks nice but theres always a curls sticking up or something. i wonder if this thick fuller conditioner will help me too? hmm...
