Split Ends

I have a question about split ends. I examine the ends of my hair, and I've never once seen a split end on any of the hair on my head. Is it possible that some guys just don't get split ends, in which case it's not necessary to get trims? I don't get my hair trimmed very often and don't want to do any damage by not doing so, but I don't feel the need except when I want to even off the length or cut it a little shorter.
So I guess in short, my question is it absolutely necessary for every guy to get trims to prevent and stop split ends?

Yes. There is no such thing as having mandatory split ends once you have long/longer hair. I, for one, have midback length hair and do not have any splits till now :)
Therefore, if there're no splits for you, it means there's no need for any trims. Unless you need one to even out your length when it is currently layered.
Hope this helps :)

I was planning to have my pics posted on my 2nd anniversary of "no haircuts", i.e. on 10th Dec 2001 :)
Hmm... maybe for now, I'll try to post one ASAP.

Jin, great!!! Don't forget to send one to see the length of your bangs or now, forelocks. Are your forelocks long enough to cover your entire face yet? Or are they even longer? Take care and happy growing!
