upside-down drying

Does anyone here use the "upside-down" hairdrying technique? I've heard from a couple female friends that it will add volume to your hair. If so, what's the best way to go about it? Let air dry for a while first, before using blowdryer? Thanks.

Yes I do and have great result with that technique as it double up my volume.
I use a hear drier but with great care. I have purchassed a model from Conair that have two separate control for the fan and the element so this way I use a full power on the blower and a medium setup for the eat while the hairs are still wet and cut down the eat with I am in the middle of the process. The trick is to have a model with those huge comb on the tip and gently comb them while drying and whyle I fold my body in the front in order that the hairs fall freely down. When I swing them back they are all fluffy and beautiful.
This methode dry my mid back long hairs in about ten to fiften minutes with a minimum of lost and no tangles - I also use an after rinsing serum from Freeze-ease that help a lot on that aspect.

Jean
P.S.: Lomg hairs is a lot of work but the result are well worthing it to my point of view. I think it is very important to take a great care of them when we are keeping them for so long.
