Darkening my hair

Hey all,
I really love this site and have learned a lot about taking care of my hair. It's about 4 inches below my shoulders and growing, but I'd like it darker. The problem is that I get an allergic reaction to the hair dyes I've tried. Has anyone out there with the same problem found a product that will work? Thanks in advance for any help you can send my way!

I haven't tried it myself yet, but have you tried Henna? It seems like its a more "natural" way of coloring. From what I've read, you should do a color test before you do your whole head as it can cause some strange reactions if you have used other chemicals. I'll probably give it a go in a couple months, but I just used a chemical one so I have some time. Sounds good! :-) Don't forget to let us know. I'm sure others would be interested as well. Good Luck! Again...do the test first I'd hate to suggest something that turned your hair green! lol!
