Need advice!

Hello!
Ive been growing my hair since July 2001 when I had short spikes, my hair now when parted covers most of my ears and the curtains come down infront of my eyes, but it seems to have been stuck in limbo like that for months :(. Its extremely annoying as at the moment I dont want my hair to be like this, I keep getting ideas to get it cut off and go back to spikes, but I really want long hair. Can anyone give me some hope...?

You're pretty much in exactly the same place as I am. I know what you mean about it being stuck in limbo, for the past few months it doesnt appear to have changed all that much at all. The main reason for this, I think is that we see it every day. Its the same how you dont realise that you are gradually getting taller. I know all the curls and kinks can get annoying but there are various ways to solve this: for example Ive decided today to try and straighten my hair to see how it looks. It may not only be neater, but uncurling the kinks in the back will make it look longer too. Pro: I might have a similar style to Cruise in M:I 2 (but longer), con: I might look like a slightly less bald Hulk Hogan.
Anyway, stick with it, it IS groing and you will gradually notice differences every month or two.

Don't cut it dude!!! I have made that mistake 3 times so far and am on my 4th attempt to grow my hair long enough for a ponytail. My back is just long enough but my bangs are still just down to my upper lip when pulled straight. I have been growing for about 14 months now but made the mistake of having 2 "trims" losing about 1/2 inch each time. I will not have anymore trims until I can do the tail from all over. And probably a few months after that. My bangs are driving me crazy too and seem stuck. Lets hangs in there dude. I slick mine back with gel everyday and have switched to shampooing every other day. I wash it out everday but only shampoo and condition every other day. The non-shampoo day is better on the styling. Just keep gel handy or wear a hat backwards to keep the bangs out of your face and you will forget about them for the moment which is what you need right now.
I have given up every time before but I refuse to this time. Come on dude...we can make it
