Progess Pic + Problem

Hey, guys. Kev here. I've been reading posts on this board for a while now, and it's about time I put up a series of progress pics.
The first picture was taken in April of 2001, when I decided to begin growing my hair.
The second one (me in a black shirt) is me with a ponytail, taken in September of 2001. The ponytail doesn't show up well because it's kind of small and hidden behind my head.
The third is today (14th of April 2002), I let my hair down to show you what I look like without a ponytail, but I never leave without tying my hair. I've been called 'ma'am' kind of often, LOL. And from this picture, now I see why.
The last is my problem. When I tie my hair, it fans out like a broom, which is not what I like - any advice?
Now, let's hope that I can post all four pictures.....

It might look like the "half-ponytail", like Liam had in "The Phantom Menace," but it seems as if ALL the hair is in the ponytail! Perhaps, the ponytail is too big, and maybe it should be a "half-ponytail?"

i like how it "fans out". it almost makes it look, from this view anyway, like it is really thick, as opposed to a thin pony tail that just goes straight down. i like it. :)

Yo Kev! Great pics-keep on growin! I wear my hair in a ponytail a lot and have found that if you twist the tail while it's wet so that it's 1 lock of hair in the tail that it dries together and isn't frizzy. What I do is tie it in a tail when it's dry and strongest, then I wet it with water (spray bottle works well) and then slick it all down and twist the tail. Water works well for me-for added strength gel works well too.
