Having to start again...

Hello, today I went for a trim, just to stop my hair looking like a mullet, I was feeling very happy about the fact my hair was covering my eyes when parted. Then the barber destroyed my hair and gave me what I have dubbed a 'monk cut', I have a pudding bowl where my neck is bald and he undercut at the sides.
Im so depressed and my hair looks terrible, im going to get it cut down to spiking length and start again, what a blow after almost a year of growing.

Don't cut it more, man. Just try to do something with it until it looks a little better, like wear a hat or slick it back or something. When it's longer, you'll be glad you did. You'll have to put up with awkward hair awhile, but it will be where you want it sooner.

Yeah man like I said on MSN I don't think you should cut it because when it grows back you'll still have a head start.
The rules I follow when going for a trim are:
1) go to a barbers you know you can trust, either from past experience or recommendation
2) dont even let them touch your bangs or sides with their fingers let alone scissors
3) specifically ask them to use scissors only
4) make sure they trim only the very bottom at the back of your hair (and the sides once they get long enough).
I seriously hope you don't go back to spikes, that would suck after having been growing for the same time as me.

The only difference between a bad haircut and a good haircut is about 3 weeks.
