Longhair on TV

Since evry one is talking about movies, I thought I would bring up TV.
I have been noticing somewhat more longhair on tv. Actually only a tiny bit more. I watched the season finale of the show "ED" which I do enjoy, and there were quite a few longhaired guys, all extras, in the background of the carnival.
There was also a longhaired guy on the show "JAG" he was beening made out to be bad in court, but if you saw the show you find out he really didin't do anything wrong, it was just one of those lawyer things where they make somebody out to look bad. Although in the past they have actually portrayed longhairs as bad, usually drug sellers or such.
I have seen a few extras on other shows like CSI that have longhair. Although last year there was a very kind, polite shy secretive longhaired guy on the show "providence" he was disfigured and the doctor repaired his face. He was on of the most positive portrayles I have seen, second only to "sully" on Dr. Quinn. That was a good show as was "northern Exposure" to see longhair in positive portrayles.

Yeah, I think Northern Exposure was about the coolest show going in its heyday, and I think a large part of that to me was that Steve (wasn't that his name, the radio DJ motorcycle guy?) and Ed both had long hair and were likeable. Steve cut his, eventually, but it was great to see longhaired guys as easygoing people who weren't criminals.

How can y'all forget Duncan McCloud (spelling?) on The Highlander? His was never super long, but it was long enough to be pretty. I was about to mention Tom Rhodes when he did that "Mr. Rhodes" show, then I remembered his was a mullet, so it doesn't really count.

Seems as if he had a beard like John Walker. He didn't do anything wrong; it was the government with its secret military tribunals and death penalty. As some of you might care to know, I am a frequent critic of government policies (such as prison regulations); in fact, I am constantly being flamed by "T" over the police in the "Funny Story".

Also, "Wonder Years" did show the hippies in a positive light.

I really liked 3rd Rock From the Sun. The character "Tommy" had hair to his shoulders, at least for the first 2 or 3 seasons. He was really funny, and always the smartest alien, questioning everything around him.

Yeah he looked kinda strange when he cut his hair off (and it wasn't just a shock thing cos it lasted all the way to the end).
