Shoulder length? Or not?

What do you guys call 'shoulder length'? I call mine, chin at front and shoulder at back, although at the back it is really to the bottom of my neck, and it definatly does not reach my actual shoulders.
At what length or where does the hair need to hang to be 'shoulder length', in your view?

Now I am only guessing here, but I believe there are two opinions on shoulder length hair. One from a long-hairs point of view, and one from a short-hairs point of view.
Long-hairs point of view(in my opinion of course): Hair that reaches just past the lowest point of the neck in the back and evenly all the way around, bangs and over the ears.
Short-hairs point of view and most of the suit and tie business population(again, in my opinion of course): Hair long in the back that reaches just below the lowest point of the neck.
There you have it, but definetly not on a professional level beings your hair is currently longer than mine(see pic)!

This has grown out from a complete military buzz cut(never been in the service though)for about a year now. Post a pic of yourself sometime so I can see your progress.

A year eh...hmm...halfway there
This is going to sound stupid, but how do you style it in the morning after you shower? I'd really appreciate specifics as well (do you gel, blowdry, etc...).

All I do in the morning after showering is to get out of the shower and do what I call a little after-shower-headbanging to take out the excess water. This technique sometimes gives me head ache. Then I just let it air dry on its own. Towel drying and blow drying is damaging to your hair so I avoid it all together. Never comb or brush your hair when it's wet. Wet hair is weaker than dry hair, thus easier to damage. What we all need to learn is that once hair grows outside the scalp it is DEAD! Thus it will not and cannot repair itself like living tissue. I shampoo once a week for church, other than that, I just rinse out with lukewarm water, which is a thing I have learned from this forum board. The wet look is when my hair looks the best. I wish it looked like that when dry, but we can all dream, right? At work I always wear a hat to keep most of my hair out of my bosses site to avoid any possibility of him telling me to cut it which he has never done. God Bless and Keep Growing!!
