Washing question

I read somewhere that if you don't wash or atleast wet your hair everyday that you will get split ends and they will break off. Or the ends could even just break off without having split ends, something about not getting enough moisture. I have been washing my hair every other day but have been thinking about going even longer between washes,is there any danger in this?

Actually, washing your hair TOO often causes damage, I dont know about not wasing often enough. I shampoo every 2 weeks and never had any problems with that. On the days that you dont shampoo just rinsing with water will not strip any oil

Nope, not true. The "moisture" in hair is not water. It's sebum, or scalp oil. Actually, washing strips these oils out. So too much washing is what dries hair out. As far as getting it wet or rinsing it on a daily basis? It's not necessary, but it won't hurt either. So long as you don't use hot water. Hot water alone can dissolve and strip out the natural oils. If hot enough, it can also damage the hair and the scalp. But cool to luke warm water is fine.
