What type of hairbrush do you use?

What do you use to style your hair? I'd appreciate feedback from everyone of course, but even more so from those with curly/wavy hair. Thanks in advance!

Hi Wolff, i have very wavy hair and find that a wide tooth comb and/or a vent bristlebrush is best for me. The vent bristlebrush can accent the wave, if i want it to, and the wide tooth is better at the opposite. I never use the tight tooth combs because they can damage your hair. My hair is about 5 and a half inches long. Hope this was of somehelp to you.

I use two brushes. A Goody vented brush with widely spaced teeth and an Elegant anti static #EL 47c. The goody is great for getting tangles out of my curly hair. Then I use the Elegant to smooth and style it. The Elegant is pocket sized, so it's also good to carry around for any freshening up that might be needed during the day. I used to use a wide tooth detangling comb to get the tangles out. But, now my hair has gotten so long that that doesn't work anymore without causing damage. So now I use the Goody for that.

I have thick hair and I use what is called a detangler comb. It has teeth that have a curve in them. The first curves left back to center, then the next above curves right back to center and so on in this pattern. It aids in gently pulling the strands apart as you comb though your hair. Works for me, but here lately I haven't needed it cause I don't shampoo but once a week if that. I really need it after shampooing if I don't put olive oil in my hair.
