Hi there again brothers-in-hair,

My hair is very long now (more than 50cm), I`m studying in a British uni. I face lots of problems I already told you, like "racism" (cf: long hair reserved for whites)..etc.. Sometimes students who come from such countries as India, Africa do find my hair awkward...but the thing is that I really don`t care. As some of you guys have put it, it`s worth all the trouble (hairreligion.com).

Well, I`m falling in love with girl but I don`t know, she seems to be afraid of me and I think that`s because my hair is too long. I have no idea what to do..on one hand, I really like this girl and on the other hand, I adore my hair. I`ve already decided that I will not cut it because of her "fears", but it`s so hard to really get fixed.

What should the longhair do when faced with such a dilemna?

It's not easy. It is likely that this girl is apprehensive for many reasons, not just your hair. From what you say, you will look to her like someone from another culture, and she may be a little alarmed by somebody who in general does not look like the boyfriend she was expecting to have. That isn't racism, just fear of the unknown.
The solution is to have patience: be kind and courteous to her whenever you meet. It will be easier to talk to her if you have some classes that you both attend, or are both members of the same club or society. Don't try to make too much progress too quickly, and hopefully as she gets to know you, the fear will diminish. Then, if you are lucky, she might even start to like you. If not, then it's hard luck, but maybe you will be lucky. I hope so.

      Too late now ! Thanx if you find me handsome, but not all girls think so.
      You know what, I cut my hair just for her, but not far out there, It`s more than shoulder length, but I do miss my long curls.
      I did it just to get a chance to be loved back by her...
      ...but so far, my change has only been returned by ignorance from her part...I feel a bit sad...I lost my curls and I haven`t got her love back....

        Looks like you made the wrong move there. A pity, but nothing that a few months or years growth won't cure.

Again, it is to easy to blame it on the hair, like with the jobs. As a women I can tell you a lot of girls love long hair on man. Did she said already she doesn't like it? However if she don't, don't cut just that she likes you, she has to like YOU with your long hair otherwise she is not worth to be together with her.
