I visit this board since I decided to let my hair grow and now I have a question. Is there something like an oil time? It means when I wash my hair every day then it gets oily every day when I wake up (like mine is) and when I stop wash it every day and just wash it every 3 days then it doesn´t get that fast oily?

Some believe that soap can stimulate and promote oil production
since your body is trying to make up for the lost oil...
Makes sense! So try not washing with shampoo every day.

I must be one of the few people who have naturally oily hair and have to wash it every day. If I went for three days without shampooing I'd practically have dread locks.

I'm right there with you! Last week, as an experiment (read: I had early class, and couldn't spend enough time in the shower to really take care of it) I went 3 or 4 days, and I'm currently trying to pick the remaining dreads out of my hair!
