ok i am in 9th grade and i want to grow my hair kinda longer. right now its about 1 1/2 inches on top and 1/2 inch in the back and on the sides. i want to grow my hair either like kurt cobain kinda lenth or the lead singer in incubus' lenth. the way i want it is right past my ears and in the back right at the neck. how long will it take me to do that and should i get it trimmed once in a while or what? what should i do!!??
A Breeze...

That shouldn't take you no more than a couple of months or a little more to grow that from where you are now. No trims needed either. Peace!!!!!

I started from 1 1/2 inches aswell and it took about 8 months to get to the brandon boyd singer of incubus length (at least the way it is in the 'Nice to know you' video) with the back touching the shoulders and the bangs past the eyes to about the bottom of the nose. My hair is wavy though so it takes longer to get length. If your hair is straight it wont take as long. For Kurt cobains length, if your talking about the chin length bangs, will take quite a bit longer. As for trims, i'd say skip them they aren't usually needed. The inch difference between the top and sides/back should be enough to avoid the sides getting bushier than the top.
