Support/Encouragement

I have recently been losing hope of the aspiration of long hair. it seems the process takes forever...I even admitt to have had thoughts of trimming my awkward stage. However I have regained my determination after the excitement I have witnessed at this site. If anyone has some words of encouragement I would greatly appreciate it on those hard days of looking sloppy.Thank you for the love.

Keep reaching towards the goal. The best thing a person can do in the awkward stage is to try and find an all consuming hobby that will take your mind off your hair for the most part. Go about your life everyday and try not to think too much about it. Believe me, once it starts getting longer it's own weight will pull it down and make it more manageable. But getting there is the GOAL! So have fun with it, don't despair, and think of it as a journey with a prize to find, BRO!!!! Peace!!!!!

If you wnt something (except gurls), keep on trying. Never give up.
Lyrics by Helloween.
THE CHANCE
We're living in a constant fight
Too much pressure everywhere
And all around
Don't let it pull you down
Hold on tight
Cling to your dreams
Don't you depend on someone else
Think for yourself and win the race
The chance you got comes never twice
Do your best, (and) do it right
Time will come but don't you hide
You are on your way
You're led by God but you're not a pawn
Should live your life, don't care 'bout any scorn
Just let them fool around
No need to cry
Don't give up
Try to be as smart as you can be
I know you own so much ability

you do not need patience if you do not have to wait . . . just try to appreciate your hair how it is now, enjoy the positive aspects of it like you do not want it to change, and if it gets longer, enjoy it longer, and if it gets even longer yet, enjoy it then.
my hair goes about two fifths of the way down my back. of course, i am hoping for all the way, but even if it only gets a few more inches longer, i still enjoy it the way it is now.

Also, keep thinking about the reason you wanted to grow in the first place. Usually those positive thoughts will keep you on track. For example, are you doing it becasue you think the look would be you, ie-your identity? Think about how it will feel and look once it's finally long? Will you reget cutting it, knowing how far along you were? Think about how nice it will be once your threw the awkward stage. After all, the awkward stage usually lasts for a year or so. That's not too long as compared to the years of enjoyment you'll have once it's long.
Lastly, keep coming back to this board, for it's positive encouragement in itself. Take care.
