Ahhhh... I've always had that. Mainly when I haven't washed it. And I don't condition, so it can't be that. So I guess it is dead skin... kinda gross, huh?

I get that, too. They're called flakes. Annoying, aren't they... don't know what causes 'em.
Hmmm...

I just found this site, and noticed this:
Conditioning
Always apply conditioner from the ears down – never condition the scalp. Do not over-condition.
I always condition my scalp. Maybe this is what's causing all of that white stuff?

I don't condition and I get it too. I think it's just dead skin. But the whole not conditioning the scalp thing is cause they say it makes the scalp greasy... guess it depends how much oil you produce. I personally don't like conditioner at all. I think the only thing to eliminate the white stuff is wash more often, if you wanna dry out your hair...

Y'know, I think I found that exact same site last week some time. I had always conditioned my whole head too, but after seeing that,
I tried it their way. It does seem to make your scalp a lot less itchy and greasy. It used to get *really* itchy at times and I used the Nizoral shampoo once or twice which seemed to help. Seems like avoiding conditioning the top of your head is just as good. My head hasn't itched at all the last few days.
Makes sense too, as I would imagine the hair really close to your head gets plenty of natural oil anyway.
I wonder why conditioner makes the scalp itch. Is there bacteria that likes to eat conditioner?
