A few questions..

Now that I'm growing my hair out, wondering how often I should be shampooing, and using condtioner so that I stimulate the most growth a month.
And...
How long did it take so you could tie it back? I don't mean you grew it down to your back, and you tied it back..the least possible months it took you till you could tie it back.

I shampoo every 2 or 3 days and condition almost everyday. I've been growing my hair out for a year now. The first time I was able to tie it back was a couple of weeks ago.

I shampoo once a week, no conditioner. I'd say in about a year you'll be able to tie your hair back so that it looks decent.

I shampoo & condition once a week. On the other days I just wash my hair with cool water and let it air dry a couple hours before I go to bed. Shampoo/conditioner will not make your hair grow faster-keeping the hair oiled just prevents the hair from gettin damaged (split ends).
I was able to get a small ponytail at 10 months-though, I had to slick everything back with water so it all looks like it's in the cloth pony holder. Keeping your hair in a loose ponytail once the hair is dry is also good at nite.

P.S.-I never cut anything (not even trims)

Forgot to let u know: I never put gel, hairspray, etc. in my hair because I've found that these attract dirt and it doesn't wash out with cool water. My hair never looks dirty. I use water is a spray bottle to get locks (don't brush afterwards-it breaks the locks and makes your hair frizzy).
