UK longhairs seeking jobs etc.

I have just spent two days in London at Discover Dogs, an event organised by the Kennel Club.
I noticed several longhairs there, including a Chinese man who was working on the door, a man who has a business designing T shirts (whose hair obscured the advertising message he had printed on the back of his shirt, but never mind), several men working on the stands and also members if the public. There's a good number of us about.
Also, visiting a Somerfield store during the weekend, I noticed a leaflet appealing for people to work in the stores theroughout the UK. W'e want poelple like you', it said, with a picture including a man with dreadlocks.
So, young UK longhairs, if your parents say you won't get a job with long hair, you can show them the leaflet - Somerfield's bosses can hardly deny you a job in the circumstances, can they?

I've never had any trouble getting work with my hair. In recent years I have worked at a Travel Agency and a Supermarket - never a word. I think older men generally have more of a problem.

He said "generally". And I think he's right. GENERALLY it's the elders of our population that have the biggest problem with long hair on men and are most vocal and opinionated about it. GENERALLY.

So called because I am unfortunate enough to suffer from Male Pattern Baldness, however I don't cut the hair that is still there. One biggish trim in June 1994, otherewise nothing since March 1992.
The Eagle part of the name? Why not, I admire eagles!
What about your name? Should we start a new thread?
