Long-haired Doctor

Just a note to those of you who are concerned about having a "professional" carreer and long hair. I was watching a TV program last night, something about the use of forensics in modern police work. The doctor in charge of the forensic lab was probably about 40 (I'm really not very good on guessing ages though). He had beautiful blond hair that he wore in a ponytail that hung down to maybe 3 or 4 inches above his waist. It makes me feel alot better when I see professional or sucessful guys with long hair. It helps to counter the negative stereotypes often employed by the media.

The Animal Planet channel broadcasts a program called "Emergency Vets". It follows the cases that take place at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital. One of the doctors (see the link) has impressive hair (and an amazing moustache)

That guy has some pretty thick, impressive long hair. Is that an undercut I see?

Michael,
Nice to hear from you again. I don't know if you remember me, but you and a lawyer wrote in to one of my posts back in July when I was concerned about having long hair in a professional environment. Your encouraging post helped me solidify my decision to grow. In fact, just LAST night, I told my wife about you and the lawyer writing to me in July.
I was wondering if you'd respond to this post, being a doctor yourself. And pictures would be great! I'm very curious to see your hair...Treyn is a great help there!
And I'm also glad to read that yet another doctor/professional has long hair, which certainly will work towards breaking the negative stereotype.
