Essential longhair clothing poll

Well I suppose EVERYTHING looks better when you have long hair, but any specific articles of clothing that you think look really good with long hair? I'd say for winter, frock coats and turtle necks, some kangol type leather hats (like the one Triple H the wrestler wears alot) look really good w/long hair too. Not sure about any specific summer clothes.

Essential clothing:
JNCO Jeans. (My favorites are the
50" ones). Too bad you can't find
them anymore.

AMEN!
I was really getting worried about the lack of REALLY wide leg Jncos, until I checked their online store. Although it's currently down for remodeling, the webstore carries all the newer wideleg, urban styles as well as "classic" stuff like Twin Cannons and Silver Backs. They also carry all sizes: www.jncostore.com
BTW, I would also consider baggy jeans as my essential clothing.

I'd like to try one of them utilikilts, but I'm afraid that'd mean giving up wearing boxers. I'm just not ready for that kind of confinement.
Right, too much information.

Um...don't you mean liberation? What precisely were you planning to wear under a kilt?

What do you have under there, Grace Jones singing gospel bluegrass? :-)
Seriously, kilts aren't immodest. Yeah, you have to watch how you sit, but it's not that big of a deal. I have never flashed anyone in any of my kilts, and I'm pretty carefree about it.
If you're really freaked, you can get modesty snaps for not too much extra dinero. Check out the site: www.utilikilts.com

In my case, I just wear black underwear. Of course, in my case, I'm wearing the traditional kilt with a sporran. If I sit spread-eagle, the sporran holds the aprons down, so, unless someone's looking up from the floor, they won't see my underwear. In most cases, I'd find a kilt to be *more* modest than a pair of jeans, since you're less likely to show the bulge. I've been wearing a kilt almost daily since August. In the summer, I was cooler than I normally am when I wear shorts, and, in the fall/winter, with my 18oz wool MacKenzie tartan kilt, I'm much warmer than if I were to wear any pair of trousers. Even if I were to wear longjohns under the pants. So, my recommendation, is to try one and see if you like it. If not, you can always put it up on eBay or sell it to someone else. If you do, then, welcome to the growing group of kilted men...

Add in faded old jeans and occasionally leather pants then you've got

I never concern myself with what will go well with my hair because my hair is the last thing on my mind when dressing myself.
Unless I'm really in the mood to go "all out" (which is rare, since I pride comfort over looking good), my "trademark" outfit, regardless of season, is a pair of relaxed fit jeans, a t-shirt, and a pair of hiking boots. After that point, I'll either don my black canvas duster (full-length trench coat commonely worn on ranches, though I live in the city), or my black leather biker jacket (though I drive a car - grin).
As for winter, I never dress too warmly because I'm never outside long enough to warrant doing so.

I should note that I only wear a coat if it's actually cool out.

Faded, (maybe ripped a tad with just a peek of long underwear showin'!), blue jeans, flannel shirt, work boots, and let's see... for a coat, maybe a Carhartt jacket with a hooded sweatshirt underneath. And of COURSE, the hair would be DOWN! Hatz optional.

jean or cargo shorts & tee shirt or tank during summer..
jeans & sweater or sweat shirt during winter. i wear a 3/4 length leather coat during the winter.
my shirts tend to be closer fitting than my pants- i avoid logos. in the summer i go shirtless often- most of my shorts aren't all that short lol.
footwear- hikers or running shoes.

Hmm, well got nothing to do with the hair itself, but its 90-95% of the time, all black (except footwear, usually some white on shoes haha)
simple too: t-shirt, cargo or similar (with less pockets) pants that are black, no hats, running shoes if I'm not going to work (white/black usually) oh and the hair itself isnt black or close to it
hair is down most of the time, tied with strong winds or when I feel like it (not so often lately).

Great for that "inbetween" weather... also easily combined with something like a flannel, a sweater, or even a short-sleeve Tshirt for even more possibility.

Summer: sleeveless shirt, tank top or no shirt at all, shorts and bare feet. Hair usually tied in a ponytail.
Winter: sleevelsss shirt and sleeveless jacket or vest (I go always with bare arms), jeans, sandals (or hiking boots if there is snow). Hair usually free.

Thess clothings are dressings for the hair: snoods, bun covers, and the old classic silk scarf--for warmth, fashion, and the rubbing of silk against hair is great for hair, so stats the old adage. I do not know how wearing polyester scarves affects the hair, but they will keep wearers warm and on the classy end of fashion. (Women harldy wear them anymore anyway!)

Try a tartan kilt. Or, a Utilikilt. Either can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion, and look quite nice with long hair... In fact, once, when I was in Seattle, a couple of women were standing around and saw me. The first thing they said was, "Nice kilt." Second was, "Nicer legs." And then the final thing was, "Nice hair, too." Was wearing my hair in a rather high ponytail at the time...
