For starters, don't cut your hair. And if you really want to perfect that whole grunge look, don't wash your hair any more than is necessary (That will not only have you resemble Kurdt, but protect your hair from damage relative to excessive stress and dryness).

Kurt's hair was cut about shoulder length in the back and sides (maybe a little less than shoulder length actually) with his bangs about to his chin. if you dont cut your hair at all, it will end up like this naturally as the back will get the longest first, and the bangs will have the farthest to go.
i've heard he washed his hair with honey, but this seems like a bad idea to me :/

His hair was also bleached. His natural color was dirty blonde but he often bleached or dyed it to a brighter blonde.

Um i want to to. and I know that u have to get the hair shaved underneath the longhair cut so it isnt like 2 feet across thatn comes down. If u look at the new video for u know your right there is a fan that blows up his hear and u can clealy see its dont this way. But anyways Im afraid to come up to someone and be like yah do u know kurt cobain could cut my hair like that.. So i dont know how i will getr it done Damn I am so self conseious.

Yeah, you really DON'T want to have Kurt Cobain hair, not if you care anything about your hair.
He is not a good example of healthy hair (or very long hair).
Every couple of months someone says they want hair like his but it seems like it has to do more with liking Nirvana's music and him being a big star. If that is your reason for growing your hair then be aware that you may not end up keeping it for very long. Here we encourage people to hang on to their hair (partly because it takes a long time to experience long hair) and to know why they are growing it (hopefully for themselves).
