I'm considering an undercut

Currently at 14 months, hair is really thick and frizzy. Anyone have pics of a 1 inch undercut all around and tied back? Any before and after pics of undercuts (not tied back) to see if it really gets rid of the thickness?

My hair is really thick and frizzy too. I had an undercut a long time ago,and it really didn't make my hair look any thinner, If anything it just made it look even more frizzy. And this was a really high undercut. It looked pretty cool in a tail, but for some reason it made my hair look really weird when it was down.I finally got tired of it and shaved my head. Anyway, what i'm trying to say is an undercut probably won't make your hair look much thinner.
I have thought about getting another slight undercut just to make it look a little neater when I put it in a tail. But I'm very afraid to do it. I'm afraid they will cut it too high and I'll wind up hating it.

Thanks for your reply, I too have been considering this for a long time but it's fear that keeps me from doing it.

treyn had posted some pics here a couple of months ago of his 1 inch undercut. you might be able to find them in the archives. if not, perhaps post a message to him and ask him to post them again.
i don't think he is in here much because he too got an undercut and ending up cutting it all off afterwards....

I tried the undercut thing back in the 90's (when it was really popular I guess) and have since grown it all back out. Everyone has different hair, but my experience was that if you have trouble with your hair without the undercut, the undercut will just make things worse! My advice is to look for a better solution (using styling products, drying it differently, etc.)
Don't!

Don't do it. I have yet to meet ANYONE who got an undercut and liked it. Sure, some liked it for the first couple of weeks. But everyone I know that got one regretted it.
I cannot stand undercuts. I think they look like crap. They don't help in appearance at all.
Don't do it!

Sorry, I can only support one haircut per head. Two haircuts just doesn't look as good.
