protein shampoos??

Hi, I heard somewhere that people with thick/full-bodied hair should use a shampoo without added protein. On the contrary, I figured that shampoo with proteins would make my very dry hair nice and "moist," so to speak. But, it just makes my hair unmanageable and dryer. What would be a good shampoo/conditioner to use? also what about leave in conditioners? what are some good types? my hair is thick, and full, slighty curly. I should also mention that i think my hair may be damaged due to coloring...I've been growing it out since june of last year, and i've only trimmed my bangs a little around december, b/c they were longer than the back/sides. ANY help would be MUCH appreciated. THANK YOU, from a highschool senior.

You are correct.: Protein shampoos CAN make your hair thicker
drier and more UNcontrollable...no kidding!
Aussie Moist shampoo is made for damaged hair and works great for
other hair types.
I don't use a leave-in conditioner because it leaves my hair feeling
too coarse.
Instead I use a bit (you will have to experiment for amount) blended into
damp hair to moisturize & control my flyaways...
Well, Good Luck
thankz
