Where can I find ribbons dating from early American history...I want my pony tail to look sophisticated when dressing up for work and college. Im getting sick of the hair elastics and I dont want a metallic ring on my pony tail. Anyone know of a web page? Oh yeah. This April it will be two years without a haircut. Wooo hoo!

Congratulations on approaching two years!
How about buying some thin black velvet ribbon, tying your tail up...
and then cut off excess ribbon...check paintings to see exact ribbon length

That does sound like a neat idea. It's something I've considered
trying, though I haven't really gotten around to it. I guess I was
inspired by Lucius Malfoy wearing his with a ribbon in the second
Harry Potter movie. Heh.
Maybe if you find a method you like you can share some pictures of it
here. I for one would be interested in seeing them.

Try www.hairbowsandmore.com . Lots of the ones here are very girlish, for cheerleaders and the like, but there's some very stylish velvet bows in assorted colors, priced reasonably. BTW, my GF no longer allows me to wear just an elastic: a bow, ribbon, or scrunchy is now mandatory.

Good for her... Looks a lot better than the usual elastic, IMO...
