NOT as thick as your sister's?

:"Long hair is also making waves, as long as it's lean and looks sheared, and not as thick as your sister's flowing locks. By lean I mean that it should hang straight down, and not have the thickness and volume women crave. You can take the length to any extreme you like -- from chin-length to shoulder-length -- it all depends on what looks best on you and how much maintenance you're up for. "
:"Have your hair "razor cut" so that the thickness in the back and sides is removed, giving it a leaner look. This looks great with both thick and straight hair."
O my GoD! Just the thought of a RAZOR CUT makes me want to panic.
How in the world could i mess with my hair not know if it would
make things WORSE?!
Good article, though...

Huh? That's a short article, and the part about longhair is especially short.

Erm, what about lengths beyond shoulder length? To most people, shoulder length is where longhair begins, not the limit! Then they go on to advocate the undercut!
QUOTE:
While long hair is in style, tying your hair back is not. If your long hair is lean, as it should be, you shouldn't have to keep it out of your face.
What's wrong with a ponytail? It's one of the most useful ways of wearing your hair, because of the practicality! Plus, ponytails look great; better than short hair, imho.
The crux of it is, that the article is really just describing "fashionable" ways to wear your hair. Longhair isn't about fashion; at least not at the moment. Persuading people to have their hair in fashionable styles, is a bad thing imo... People should feel free to do with their hair, whatever they feel like doing with it!
maybe ...

I couldn't disagree more! The reason I have my hair long is for fashion. Not only does it make me look more attractive, most of the "cool guys" that I want to look like have long hair. I suppose you're right, and your hairstyle is just a matter of what YOU want personally, but it just goes to show that you can have long hair and still be fashionable/hip at the same time. Amd IMO, ponytials or hair much beyond your shoulders is not really fashionable.

yeah i like the guy's cut at the top of the article...the one in a profile shot...while his hair isn't necessarily loooong, it does look good, and it at least beats these razor happy buzz cuts that have been around.

Urgh, I'll echo Nathan's opinion here. Let's just say I stay well clear of fashion and I think 'it' knows to stay away from me by now :)
